Doctor of Medical Sciences. After graduating with honors from the medical institute, he began an internship in general surgery and became a senior doctor at the age of 29.
Later in his career, Dr. Kogan combined two great loves: he devoted his life to the art of sculpture (aesthetic surgery) and to the world of medicine. In the early 1990s, he completed another internship in plastic and aesthetic surgery already in Israel at the Tel Hashomer and Hadassah Ein Kerem hospitals, and also worked as a senior doctor in the plastic surgery department of the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital. In 2000, he moved to the north of the country at the invitation of the head of the hospital in Nagaria. Dr. Leonid Kogan founded the plastic and aesthetic surgery department there, which he continues to head to this day. Educates and teaches a new generation of doctors and students. Dr. Kogan participates and gives lectures at Israeli and international conferences and courses. He is a lecturer and active teacher at the Faculty of Medicine of Bar-Ilan University. Dr. Kogan Leonid, as part of his work as the head of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Nagaria Hospital, performs a wide range of plastic surgeries, including tumor removal, breast reconstruction after resection and treatment of burns and wounds, skin grafting, etc. Leonid Kogan believes that the mission of every doctor is to treat people suffering from diseases, to help them and to cure them, so he still continues to work in hospital funds, with additional insurance and gives legal opinions.
