Preparation for surgery
The result of plastic correction depends on many factors: the professionalism of the surgeons of the clinic, your mental attitude and fulfillment of post-operative recommendations. The correct preparation for surgery has no less important role. Whether it is non-invasive plastic or full operation, the main preoperative recommendations remain unchanged. High-quality preparation significantly simplifies the task of doctors: they have a clear understanding of what to expect from the patient's body, when he/she would be on the operating table or in the cosmetological chair. Two weeks before surgery
High quality preparation starts two weeks before surgery.
Your body must be strong and healthy by the date, on which the operation is scheduled. The vitamin complexes prescribed by the doctor will help to achieve this. If the complicated operation is planned, iron supplements should be added to vitamins.
You should refrain from taking of vitamins E and C, hormonal and all medications containing aspirin and anticoagulants during this period. Aspirin thins the blood, which impedes the healing of post-surgical scars.
Alcohol also thins the blood. Even a small dose of alcohol can distort the effect of anesthetic drugs and other medications. Therefore, you should refrain from intoxicating beverages during this time.
Nicotine, unlike alcohol, on the contrary, worsens the circulation of the skin. This may cause slow healing of postoperative scarring and even lead to necrosis of the tissues of the operated area. You need to cut down smoking or completely quit it. After surgery you should not smoke for month. Perhaps, after such a long break you will finally succeed in quitting the habit.
Before surgery your skin must be in the most natural state. So please refrain from visiting tanning salons and trips to the beach.
Diets with low salt content (1200-1500 mg/day) will help to reduce swelling after surgery. If you refuse from spicy foods and caffeine, it will also speed up recovery.Three days before surgery
Give the body a rest from physical loads, and the skin should rest from cosmetic products: stop visiting the gym and refrain from all skin creams. If you’re planning plastic surgery on the face, wash face twice a day.Night before surgery
The last meal should be light and not later than 18.00. After midnight you should refrain from drinking water. Before surgery the intestinal tract is cleaned with the help of a special drug, without any discomfort. Maybe the doctor will prescribe you a sedative to sleep well before the day of the operation. On the day of surgery
All operations in plastic surgery are performed on an empty stomach to avoid difficulties with the reaction of your body to anesthesia. Come to the clinic in maximum comfortable clothes, no makeup. You should also completely refrain from using of any cosmetic products (including deodorants, nail polish, hair spray, lipstick). It is necessary to leave contact lenses and all jewelry at home. Put on comfortable clothes, take another look at your pre-modeled future appearance and positive attitude go for the fulfillment of your dreams!
And there are a couple of issues that need to be considered. Although some operations do not require hospitalization, they require administration drugs, which for some time reduce the concentration of attention and speed of reaction, into the body. So you need to consider how you will get home. If you have more serious plastic correction, most likely, at first, you will need helpers at home: to go shopping (to lift weights will be forbidden for you), cook and clean, look after children and pets.
Take a considered decision and do not be afraid to become perfect!
